Overview

Boaz Fire Department currently maintains a Class 3 ISO Rating. Boaz Fire and Rescue is a dynamic organization that continues to evolve as new programs and projects are developed to enhance our ability to fulfill our mission.

We are ever mindful that the Citizens of the City of Boaz are our customers, and that many times we interface with them in situations that, while are routine for us, are quite traumatic for them. We strive individually and collectively as an organization to minimize both the emotional and economic impact of these incidents.

The purpose of this evaluation is to determine the overall capabilities of the Fire Department and its probable impact on fire insurance claims. A "Class 1" rating is the best and a "Class 9" rating is the worst. The Boaz Fire Department is currently classified as a "Class 3" (reclassified in 2016). As a result, residents and local businesses enjoy relatively low fire insurance rates.
